Reflect is an app resource youth caregivers can use to get informal care and connect anonymously with other youth. This project is done in partnership with 21GRAMS for the D&AD Young Blood 2022 Competition. Team members are Jerrod Pointdester, Sam Bowen, and myself.

For youth caregivers, finding support outside of their homes may be intimidating. Reflect will provide a safe and welcoming environment to seek help through colors, graphics, and resources.

Avatar Creator
The Avatar Creator connects youth caregivers to Reflect. These customizable avatars will help caregivers develop complex links to their care plan.
This function will also help keep anonymity between the caregiver and healthcare provider during a chat or video session.

Chat, left, The chat function will give youth caregivers an opportunity to speak with a mental health provider informally. After chatting, the caregiver should have gained resources to develop their care plan.
Video Chat, center, Anonymous video chat is also a form of communication available through Reflect. Interactive avatars will assist the child in telling their story.
Local Resources, right, Understanding what resources are available will help create a successful care plan tailored to a specific family's needs.
Community Gaming
Gaming and social media platforms are one of the central ways youth communicate with each other. Reflect brings this familiarity to the platform by connecting youth with their virtual worlds.
