An Invitation to Bowl
Created for the annual Wayzgoose swap, this poster doubles as a playful invitation to the Saturday night bowling after-party. Inspired by my own experience the previous year (where I lost spectacularly), the piece captures the lighthearted, communal spirit of the event.
The edition included a special run of 25 prints dusted with pearlescent powder on the bowling ball, giving it the glossy, epoxy-like sheen of a real bowling ball.
The final poster blends humor and craft: goofy in concept, experimental in finish, and grounded in the over-layered, labor-intensive process that has become a recurring theme in my Wayzgoose contributions.

Process
This design, like many of my prints, became a multi-layer marathon through the press:
White — background with attempted wood-grain effect (not as planned, but no paper was wasted)
Black — first set of 1’s
Black — second set of 1’s
Black — third set of 1’s
Blue — bowling ball
Red — S, R, K in “STRIKE” and small text
Red — T, I, E in “STRIKE”
